Configuration MenuThe Configuration Menu directs you to the windows necessary for initializing and modifying the major components of the system. The menu provides access to the following functions:
Configure VME Cage allows you to specify the board in each slot of the VME cage. Numerous CPU, memory, and I/O VME boards have been ported for use in the QCS. Configure Application System enables you to specify the necessary information regarding the setup of entire applications and specific tasks within each application. For example, this is where you would indicate that you want a particular task to run once every millisecond. Configure Network System provides a way for you to input the data for any Genius, Allen-Bradley, Avtron, Ethernet, or reflective memory networks connected to the system. Save Configuration will convert your SRAM data module containing the configuration information into a file that will be stored on the SRAM board. This file provides a safer and more permanent form of storage. In addition, this file can then be downloaded to a PC. The Help button, as usual, will display help information pertinent to this section of QCS 2000. |
